Desiree A. Fernández

Admitted to the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic in 2004. Her professional practice focuses primarily on banking law and real estate law. She advises banking institutions on their legal and regulatory needs related to their operations, products and services in commercial and personal banking, including the preparation of mortgage agreements, senior non-possessory security interest agreements over movable assets, conditional sales contracts and other types of collateral and their corresponding registration. Her practice also encompasses real estate law, including advice on the acquisition of real property, registration of transfers, subdivision and boundary-survey (deslinde) applications, the creation of condominium regimes and other processes and procedures provided for under the Real Estate Registration Law and its implementing regulations.
