
Rafael E. Cáceres
Founding Partner
Rafael is a founding partner of Cáceres Torres. He was admitted to the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic in 1967. His professional practice focuses primarily on banking law, mining law, administrative law, litigation and arbitration.
He provides services to mining companies in establishing their operations in the Dominican Republic and in meeting the legal and regulatory requirements these operations demand. He also advises banking institutions on their day-to-day operations. He has vast experience in litigation matters, contract negotiations and arbitration. His professional practice also includes the corporate and business area. He has held various positions in the Public Administration. He served as Legal Counsel to the Executive Branch (1978-1981), Secretary of State without Portfolio and Advisor to the President of the Dominican Republic (1981-1982), and Alternate Member of the Central Electoral Board (1994). Past President of the Conciliation and Arbitration Commission of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo, Inc.
